|What is the Credit Card Verification number?|
The Card Verification number is an anti-fraud security feature that only appears on the card itself and helps to prove that you are or have been in possession of your credit card. For Visa/MasterCard, the three-digit number is printed on the signature panel on the back of the card immediately after the card's account number. For American Express, the four-digit number is printed on the front of the card above the card account number.
This number is important to protect the security of your card. Do not give it out to anyone except a trusted merchant.
