Help support a treasured place!

We welcome and appreciate donations in any amount to sustain

Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House in its second century of

educating, inspiring, and preserving

All donations support education and preservation efforts at Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House, "The Home of Little Women" (and so much more!) in Historic Concord, Massachusetts -- one of the most beloved and authentically maintained historic sites in the country for over 100 years.  Your contribution literally enables us to keep our doors open so future generations may continue to discover the incredible legacy of the Alcott family and the invaluable life lessons of Little Women

Your Annual Appeal donation will immediately be put to good use!

Support from Annual Appeal directly funds our vital daily operations as well as educational and public programming, and is tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.  Our programmatic offerings are wide-ranging:

•  partnerships with Concord Public Schools to enhance the study of local history for students in Grade 2, provide stewardship projects for high schoolers in the "Rivers & Revolutions" school-within-a-school, and participate in a cultural educational exchange initiative with our Japanese "Sister City," Nanae;

•  highly interactive monthly Living History tours that make the past accessible to intergenerational local, national, and international audiences;

•  Girl Scout programs that not only fulfill badge requirements but also encourage study of the past to enrich one's future while developing an awareness of the importance of personal agency and social justice; and,

•  adult/teacher education workshops that attract scholars from around the world who keep the Alcott legacy vibrant and relevant in today's world.

All this while we continue to welcome more than 50,000 visitors annually for our award-winning, highly recommended guided tours!

As the 150th publication anniversary of Little Women is celebrated this year, we suggest that donations could be made in any amount containing "150."  That said, a donation in any amount is always welcomed and appreciated.  Please consider giving as generously as you can to support the many ways in which we engage visitors from across the country and around the world, and honor the legendary spirit of creativity and perseverance that Orchard House has reflected since the 1660s.
