Wee Forest Folk is a local family business begun by Mrs. Annette Petersen over 30 years ago.  Mrs. Petersen’s devotion to producing the highest-quality collectibles grew to incorporate supporting the historic sites in Concord she dearly loved by producing figurines exclusively designed for them to sell.

Inspiration for Orchard House’s line of “Scrabble” figurines came straight from Louisa May Alcott's most beloved novel, Little Women, which was written and set in Orchard House in 1868

Jo was very busy in the garret … while Scrabble, the pet rat, promenaded the beams overhead, accompanied by his oldest son, a fine young fellow, who was evidently very proud of his whiskers.

                                                                                         ~Chapter 14, "Secrets"

More than a dozen production steps -- including meticulous hand-painting -- are required to manufacture each piece.  These figurines are real little gems, treasured by generations of Wee Forest Folk collectors as well as Little Women fans.  Each purchase comes with the famous Wee Forest Folk box and card along with “special handling” from Orchard House!
